This in some variation is the number one question I receive when talking to current and future clients. I am not going to tell you I can wave my magic wand or give you a secret to help you drop 10 pounds from your midsection. And spoiler alert if someone is marketing something too good to be true, it probably is. Let me also say there is nothing wrong with a little belly fat.
Let’s talk about the two types of belly fat!
Subcutaneous or the fat that is right under the skin is a bit of padding.
Visceral fat is the fat deep inside that surrounds the organs and is associated with metabolic issues.
Why do I have belly fat?
Things that can increase the visceral fat being a man, being post menopausal, aging, chronic high levels of cortisol, having certain gene variations, and high body fat percentage.
As you can see there are things we can and can not control.
