This summer I challenge you to 200 hours outside!!! There are 122 days from May 1st to August 30th. That is 1.6 hours a day outside. Can you do it? Here are some fun ways to be active and outdoors near Kalamazoo-
TAKE A HIKE
There are so many fun trails to hike around Kalamazoo! Including Lillian Anderson Arboretum, Asylum Lake Preserve or Kleinstuck Preserve Nature Trail.
Take your family/friends on a bike ride or rollerblading.
The Kalhaven Trail or Portage Creek Bicentennial Park are perfect places to ride!
Plainwell Kayaking Company rents out kayaks and offers 1, 2, and 3 hour trips!
Hit the beach!
We are so lucky to live less than an hour from so many beautiful beaches! My favorite is Van Buren State Park just south of South Haven.
